VH-UNB, with renowned Qantas pilot Lester Brain at the controls, forced landed at Farnborough, near Yeppoon due to engine trouble. The location appears to be be along Farnborough Road near Farnborough Beach but the area has been altered by major road works and 90 years of cyclones. The houses are Queenslanders, a popular style designed for tropical living. -UNB crashed and burned at Ayr on April 10, 1930. Photo from: State Library of Queensland
