Built by De Havilland Canada and delivered to the Royal Canadian Navy as 1593 , then becoming CAF 12293. Entered Saskatchewan's service in 1976 and was converted to a fire bomber. Withdrawn around 2015 and put into store at Abbotsford.

Later registered as N223JW then ferried to a German owner in July 2011. When landing at Trier-Föhren (EDRT) on 21 October 2012 the right gear collapsed causing substantial damage. Nothing further heard regarding this aircraft, up to 2021.
