A subsidary of the Lion Air Group (LAG, founded in 1999), Batik Air started operating in 2013 with the aim to offer direct flights and a higher travel standard within Indonesia. LAG has since grown considerably and is now operating additional subsidaries in the entire Southeast Asia region, including Malindo Air, Batik Air Malaysia, Thai Lion and Wings. The bulk of LAG's fleet consists of some 150 Boeing 737-800/-900/-MAX 8 aircraft, while all of the group's current 48 Airbus A320 are assigned to Batik Air. LAG aircraft are frequently either moved around, or sold and replaced by new a/c.

Delivered new to Air China in January 1996, which operated it as B-2954 till March 2014. Originally of the passenger version, it was converted to the cargo version in August 2014 and then operated by chinese airline Loong Air (still registered B-2954) till August 2023. It entered service with growing indonesian air cargo carrier Rimbun Air in October of 2023. Rimbun Air - founded in 2018 - currently operates four B737-300F and one B737-800F cargo aircraft accross Indonesia, plus two DHC-6 Twin Otters based in the Papua province.

Delivered new to Garuda Indonesia Airways in April 2011 and returned to lessor in August 2021. During it's 10 years with Garuda, it always carried this retro livery, paying tribute to the airline's brand logo between 1969 and 1985. Briefly registered VQ-BBT and since October 2022 operating as SE-RXC for Norwegian.

With only 110 units built, the Xian MA-60 was developped from the Y7-200A, itself based on the Antonov 26. The MA-60 faced many technical issues, mainly with the landing gear, with at least 14 reported incidents. Indonesian domestic airline Merpati was the biggest civilian operator of the type outside of China, with 13 units delivered in total. PK-MZP pictured here was the last delivered, while sistership PK-MZK crashed in Kaimana (West Papua) on May 7, 2011, accounting for the first fatal MA60 accident, with all 25 souls on board killed unfortunately.

This particular indonesian built airframe had it's 1st flight on November 30, 1983 as PK-XDJ and was delivered to the TNI-AL in March of 1984. It was, after U-610, the 2nd airframe for the Indonesian Navy and there are conflicting reports about how many CASA-IPTN 212's the branch took on. At least 8 units are confirmed, some of which have been re-registered though.

Built in 2008 with test registration F-OKEK. National Utility Helicopter's roots go back to 1969, when it was established in Indonesia with a US partner. It became a sole indonesian company in the early 1970's and has its headquartes In Jakarta, and a hangar facility in Balikpapan. NUH currently operates a mixed fleet of two EC130's, six Bell 412's, three A119 Koala's and one Bell 505.

Built in 1985 and first registered as N3199J, this Long Ranger was sold to swiss foundation Helimission in December of 1987, and consequently registered in Switzerland as HB-XSP. It then served in Ethiopia, Kenya and briefly in Mocambique till 2007 before being transferred to Yayasan HELIVIDA Indonesia. It was on the FAA register as N126SP for a few month before getting it's current registration PK-HCP. Still based in Palu, Sulawesi at the time of upload.

Entered service with Lufthansa in May of 1981 as D-ABFY. In December of 1994, it was delivered to Merpati and served with them till it was wfu and stored in Surabaya in 2011. Merpati ceased operating in early 2014, the competition of low cost carriers like Lion Air and others becoming too strong.

Built in 2007. The AS-365 is quite popular within the indonesian government forces, as also the Navy and the BASARNAS (SAR unit) operates this proven helicopter.
