Delivered new to Air China in January 1996, which operated it as B-2954 till March 2014. Originally of the passenger version, it was converted to the cargo version in August 2014 and then operated by chinese airline Loong Air (still registered B-2954) till August 2023. It entered service with growing indonesian air cargo carrier Rimbun Air in October of 2023. Rimbun Air - founded in 2018 - currently operates four B737-300F and one B737-800F cargo aircraft accross Indonesia, plus two DHC-6 Twin Otters based in the Papua province.
