First flew 5th July 1949 and delivered to the Air Force as VS633. After being SOC by the Air Force it was one of the vast batch of Prentice aircraft bought by Aviation Traders, to whom it was registered as G-AOPY on 30th May 1956. It was cancelled 26th August 1960 as having been sold in Belgium but was never delivered. It was subsequently donated to this Basildon park and is depicted here shortly after delivery from the Aviation Traders scrapping area at Southend, although only the fuselage was evident at this date.

G-AOPY/VS633 was among the last of 28 Percival Prentices of the 247 obtained by Aviation Traders from the RAF to achieve civilian status. It first flew as G-AOPY on 21st July 1960 and was intended for the Managing Director of Tradair. It was however not certificated and passed to this Childrens Playground in Basildon by February 1966. When photographed the civilian paintwork had worn away to reveal the original RAF markings and crude ferry registration. It was reported as removed and scrapped at the end of January 1975
