This plane forms a memorial in the centre of Topola to pilot Major Zoran Tomić, who presumably came from this town. Major Tomić was flying J-22 25123 on a combat mission near Novska on September 17, 1991, from which he did not return. It is assumed that he was shot down by enemy fire and killed, RIP. This particular aircraft on display is a pre-production frame.
