Indigenous design by Companhia Nacional de Navegação Aérea (CNNA) produced in the 1940s, the designation reflecting the designer Henrique Lage.

Built as C-46A 42-101201 for the USAAF and sold to Mexico as XA-JAP with Frigorificos Cooperativos Los Andes in 1949. Became XA-HAM in 1951 and PP-VCE with Varig in February 1952. Converted to a Super C-46C in 1960 and operated by Varig until 1968 when, initially leased and then sold, to ASL Arruda Industria. Withdrawn and stored at Galeao Airport, Rio de Janiero in 1969. Remained stored there with Arruda titles until moved to the Museu de Armas, Veículos e Maquinas Eduardo Andre Matarazzo in Bebedouro in 1978.

Previously the 'Museu de Armas, Vehiculos, Motorizados e Aviones Antigos 'Eduardo Andrea Matarazzo'. The founder died in 2002 and the museum is currently run by the City of Bebedouro. Sadly, many of the exhibits, especially the larger aircraft on external display, some of which have significant historical significance to Brazilian aviation, have suffered from long term lack of funding to keep them in good order. Ex 44-29500, the B-25 has been at the museum since the late 1970s.
