First flown in 1930, the Heinkel HD 42 was a seaplane trainer based on the old HD 24 and built initially for the covert military Deutsche Verkehrsfliegerschule (DVS). This is believed to be the third HD 42b, later redesignated as an He 42B (c/n 374 subject to confirmation). Markings indicate a 1934 or 1935 date. Location is likely Warnemünde.

The Heinkel HE 1 (E for Eindecker or monoplane) was designed by Ernst Heinkel as the Caspar S.1 before Heinkel started his own business at Warnemünde in 1922. A real oddball - a Heinkel HD.22 (not He 22) trainer bought by the US Army for use by the assistant military attaché for Aviation in Berlin, Maj George E A Reinburg. On photo 302347 this plane can be spotted in a hangar at Tempelhof in 1933, wearing horizontal rudder stripes and its assigned serial number 30-420. Napier Lion-engined prototype of the Heinkel HE 5, successfully flown during the 1926 German seaplane competition and probably photographed at Warnemünde which hosted the event. A Rohrbach Robbe is seen in the background. The HE 5 was to play an important role in the Swedish air force, designated S5 and nicknamed Hansa due to its resemblance to older Hansa-Brandenburg types designed by Ernst Heinkel. A metal twin-float monoplane airliner designed by Karl Theiss, the V.61 was identical to the V.59 except that the BMW IV engine was replaced by a Bristol Jupiter radial. The sole example, D-925 never really served with LFG's airline, Luftverkehr Pommern, as it was built for the 1926 Deutscher Seeflug competition in which it was wrecked on 28 July.
