The BuNo is not fully readable but we believe this can only be 124594, from a first batch of seven HUP-1 Retrievers delivered to the US Navy from February 1949. Still with HU-2, this airframe was lost on 22 May 1953 in a crash landing south of Ocean City, Maryland, following engine failure.
