Until its disbandment in 1995, 8º Stormo was based at Cervia, not very close to Russi, but this MB.326 of the wing's liaison flight was put up here in 1997. In 2018, the public garden on Via Gucci was named Largo dei Caduti dell'Aviazione (Square of the Fallen of Aviation).
