Photo taken from the side observation window of 30 Stormo Atlantic MM40125 30-12, during a stopover at the Aeronavali plant. Aeronavali performed both major aircraft modifications such as the ALCO one, but also scheduled third level maintenance in parallel to the 11 RMV of Sigonella. The Atlantic 41-11 photographed in this occasion is fresh of new paint, exiting the hangar after a third level maintenance period. Note also the 707 in the background being overhauled.

Sigonella hosted the 41 Stormo with 88 Gruppo and the third level main maintenance center for the Italian Atlantic fleet (11 RMV). The 86 Gruppo of 30 Stormo in Elmas and the 88 Gruppo in Sigonella operated until 2002 the 18 Italian Atlantics, equally splitted between the two units.

This airframe last flew on 22nd November 2017 from Sigonella to Pratica di Mare, were it was disassembled in major items and the transferred to Vigna di Valle's Museum. The fuselage was transferred by an Erickson S-64F operated by Vigili del Fuoco on 18th October 2018. The left side of the fin shows the badges of the two Wings that operated the aircraft (41 and 30 Stormo) and the banner "The Last One" on the MAD probe. The rear fuselage displays the unveiling of the original two paint livery (white and sea blue-grey)
