On display at the Museum of Flight. This Emil has been reconstructed in 1973 using a Swiss Bf-109 cowling and engine mated to a Spanish HA-1112 airframe. The aircraft is painted in the markings of Hptm. Hans "Assi" Hahn, Gruppenkommandeur of III./JG 2 "Richthofen" during the Battle of Britain. Shot down in Feb 1943 as Gruppenkommandeur of II./JG 54 "Grünherz", Maj. Hahn survived the war in Russian captivity with 108 victories, which included 53 Spitfires in the west.
