This Jetstream was leased from British Aerospace in February 1989. Air Toronto's parent company Soundair went into receivership in April 1990, but the airline continued to operate. An offer to buy from Air Canada was blocked and the carrier merged with successful bidder Ontario Express. C-GBDR was returned to the lessor in 1991. To LAER Lineas Aeras Entre Rios (LV-VEI) 1992- 2002, the aircraft was stored in Arizona when that airline stopped flying. Bought by Aero VIP in 2003 for parts, the hull remains at Moron Museo Nactional De Aeronautica at Morón airport, Buenos Aires.

Air Toronto was an operating division of Soundair Corporation of which operated trans border flights between Toronto (YYZ) and 10 cities in the US between 1989 and 1991. The airline was originally known as Commuter Express but became Air Toronto after signing a codesharing agreement with AC in 1988 and adding Jetstream 31 and later JetStream 32s. Air Canada bought Air Toronto but the sale collapsed when Soundair went bankrupt in 1991. Canadian Airlines/Ontario Express then bought the routes the airline ceased flying by Oct. 1991. Air Canada Connector Air Toronto leased this Jetstream 31 in April 1989. When parent company (Soundair) went bankrupt in 1990, Air Toronto continued to operated in receivership until bought by Ontario Express. When the carriers were merged in 1992, this aircraft was returned to BAe. It came back to Canada in 1996 with Corporate Express (C-FWYW), Alberta Citylink and Peace Air (C-FZYB). Northwestern Air currently operates it at the time of uploading, registered C-GNAQ.
