Returned by Sabena immediately after Expo 58 in Brussels, N74058, still wearing the Expo logo, was used for trial flights between Schiphol and Rotterdam - Zestienhoven by Bob Schreiner's Aero Contractors. Stops in central The Hague had to be skipped as the local fire brigade would not cooperate - clearly the helicopter's honeymoon was over, and scheduled services of course did not materialize. In 1959 during a visit to the USA, Soviet leader Khrushchev enjoyed his ride in an S-58 helicopter. When President Eisenhower challenged him to order some, Khrushchev said yes and two HUS-1Zs as well as two V-44s were actually sold and shipped to the USSR. This Flying Banana is still in Vertol company livery.
