The second SA 330 ever first flew on the 3 November 1965, under the registration F-ZWWO, and did the official Puma flight testing campaign by the Centre d'Essais en Vol (CEV) the following year. In 1977 it was re-engined by the CGTM (Compagnie Générale des Turbomachines, a Turboméca parent company) with Makila turbines, and flew for the first time in this configuration on the 4 June 1977. It was the first helicopter fitted with this new engine family, which would later on equip succesfully the whole Super Puma/ Caracal family.

The first Super Frelon, built at La Courneuve but first flown on 7 December 1962 from Marignane and I think the photo was taken there. In July 1963 this prototype set three speed records for helicopters, fitted with a large aerodynamic fairing under the tailboom. In 1974 it was retired to the Musée de l'Air at Le Bourget.

This early Puma was later converted to SA.330J standard. The helicopter appears to be wearing the Sud-Aviation logo on the forward fuselage. Built in 1958 and was operated by Sud Aviation out of Toulouse at this time. Apparently suffered an accident in April 1980 and thereafter no history found.

The one and only Caravelle VII was demonstrated to Australian domestic airlines in April 1962. Both TAA and Ansett-ANA opted for the Boeing 727-100. The VII was powered by General Electric CJ-805 aft-fan engines as fitted to the Convair 990. It was intended as a prototype for the longer Caravelle 10A for TWA, which was to be built by Douglas. Douglas decided to develop its own DC-9 and TWA went with it instead. F-BJAO was converted to a standard Caravelle III and delivered to Air France as F-BLKF.

Experimental French interceptor powered by an Atar turbojet plus rocket motor for use at high altitudes. Not put into series production.
