The second and last Saro Windhover, G-ABJP served with Gibraltar Airways in 1931 on a route to Tangier. In May 1932 it was acquired by Mildred Mary Bruce for a go at the world in-flight-refuelled endurance record, which stood at a whopping 23 days! Bristol Fighter G-ABXA served as a tanker. Three attempts in August 1932 were unsuccessful, with the longest flight lasting only 54 hours. G-ABJP was finally used by Jersey Airways between 1935 and 1938. Ex ZK-ABW. VH-UPB was used by Matthews Aviation between Melbourne and Launceston via King Island, where it made a water landing. It would be wrecked at King Island when dashed against the rocks on May 13, 1936. It is not known if the photo was taken at King Island, Tasmania, or at Victorian Bay.
