An armed CH-146 Griffon ready for an escort mission over southern Afghanistan. The Canadian helicopter, assigned to the Joint Task Force Afghanistan Air Wing (JTF-Afg AW) has a badge on its tail that I can't indentify. The Griffon was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Canadian Forces Operation SAIPH that run from October 2009 - May 2012.
