It looks like a toy plane but, uprated to still only 145 hp and with clipped wings, this Monocoupe was a winning racing aircraft. In the 1934 London to Melbourne Air Race it came as far as Calcutta flown by John Polando and owner Jack Wright who was from Utica, NY.
