Fred Olsen's Commandos were a regular part of the Southend scene in the Sixties but I was lucky to capture this one on what was probably my first ever roll of Kodachrome. This 1944-vintage example was bought by the Norwegian line as far back as 11.57; sold as XW-PHM in 6.71 and resident in SE Asia till broken up at Seletar in 1979 as N336CA This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
