Photographer: Al Rodriguez. K25 slide scan. Delivered 1945 as C-46F 44-78678. Biscayne Aircaft N5617V 1949, Flying Tiger Line, Riddle Airlines. Converted to Super C-46 for Canadian Pacific as CF-CZK 1955, Carolina Aircraft Corp N355K 1963, operating from Miami as Airstar from 1966, cancelled 1970. Rebuilt 1976 as N8875 and leased to Air Haiti, NEBA CP-1616 1980. Skidded off runway Trinidad 5 December 1988 and damaged beyond repair, noted derelict 2008. Originally built as C-46A 42-107368 msn 27055. A complete rebuild in 1976 used major components from msn 22501 taking on this identity in 1976.

Still active as Dumbo with Everts Air Fuel - photographer unknown

Built in 1943 and served with both the USAAF and US Navy. Here it is en route from Pakistan to the USA and was scrapped when N9900Z at Miami (KMIA) in 1978. During the 1950's and 1960's, the US government was applying a policy of containment towards communist influence in certain regions of the world. As part of this, the US Army Corps of Engineers was building military infrastructure in friendly countries. OFW became one of their majors contractors so they likely had a project in Pakistan. They also operated Aero Commander 680 N6854S.

Built in 1943 and served with USAAF and USN. Registered as SE-CFE, it was owned by Transair Sweden from May 1958 until October 1965 when it passed to Tor-air and then Fairline. It became 9Q-CZG in July 1967. Withdrawn from use in 1970 and subsequently scrapped. Exact date unknown. Photographer not known.

Later became N9885F with Delta Air Lines.

Built as 43-46982. This Commando disappeared for some time in Katanga in1961 but was eventually found force- landed and repaired. Transair Sweden was heavily involved in the Congo crisis

Built at Louisville, Kentucky. To US Navy as an R5C-1, BuNo 39600. Converted to Super 46C by L B Smith Aircraft. To TransAir Sweden in 1957. Leased to UN in September 1961.
