The Donnet-Lévêque A was the first French seaplane and was inspired by the Curtiss floatplanes. It first flew on 15th March 1912 and attempted to fly to London on 9th August of that year though it had an accident at Boulogne. It is part of the Musee de l'Air et de l'Espace This photo is copyright © Mick Bajcar, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
