Beginning life as Jersey Airlines' "Duchess of Alderney" in 7.54, this Heron became part of the Morton Air Services fleet and in 1966 was leased to Sierra Leone Airways as 9L-LAI. Morton merged into British United in 1968 and the aircraft is seen here after acquisition by Executive Air Engineering. Served Peters Aviation for the rest of the 1970s but ended up with St Lucia Airways from 1980, the fuselage later being sunk as a diving wreck This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
