This aircraft was delivered to the RAAF as A65-29 in 1944. In 1946 it was sold to TAA as VH-TAE. It was re-registered VH-SBL in 1960 and went into service in New Guinea in 1964. In 1973 it was sold to to Air Niugini and became P2-SBL, later changed to P2-ANR. It was withdrawn from service and sold 1976 and returned to Australia and registered as VH-SBL again.
