This Goose, built for the Royal Navy, was transferred to the USAAF as 42-106981 before delivery. It went to the Reconstruction Finance Corp after WWII and became NC88821. Flying in Alaska, the amphibian re-registered N88821 after an overhaul in 1949. It came to Canada 20 years later and was registered CF-EFN. Damaged in a ground loop during landing February 28, 1991, the wreckage was stripped of parts to rebuild another Goose. The remains were sold to Tongass Historical Society at the end of 1992; the aircraft was rebuilt using parts from yet another Goose and returned to N88821.
