Pan Am leased ths former United Airlines 737 from April 1982 to October 1990. Returned as the airline was struggling to remain viable in the down turn caused by the invasion of Kuwait and the first Gulf War. Unfortunately the Pan Am had to declare bankruptcy in January 1991 and a restructuring plan was unsuccessful. Pan Am ceased operations December 4, 1991. The Clipper San Diego had leases to Skyjet and Barnax Airlines fall through and it was broken up in April 1994.
