On display at RAF Museum Cosford. This CC.1 served with No. 78 Sqn. in Aden in 1958. No. 78 Sqn. was the first RAF Twin Pioneer unit. In 1961 the aircraft was converted to a CC.2 with the 640hp Leonides engines. In 1965 it served with No. 21 Sqn. at Bahrain and was struck off charge in 1969. The STOL type equipped six RAF squadrons and was used during the Malayan Emergency. This photo is copyright © Arjun Sarup, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
