Another load of passenger's luggage heads for BEA's "Pionair" Class Dakota for a UK internal flight. G-AKJH served the RAF in Southeast Asia during WW2 as KG572. It served BEA from November 1950 until April 1961. Another BEA Pionair and an "Admiral" Class Vickers Viking 1B are also on the apron with an Aer Lingus Dakota at far left. Donald Douglas's DC-3 still reigned supreme in those days! This photo is copyright © R.A.Scholefield, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
