In 1989, Frontier Air Service started taking delivery of five new Beech 1900s and began operating as a Canadian Airlines feeder (Canadian Partner). They replaced several King Airs, including this one. Sold in September 1990 and registered in the USA as N712AS, the aircraft returned to Canada in 1997 as C-GAPK with Ministic Air. It was last with Transwest Air when it was damaged landing at La Ronge Airport, SK on December 30, 2005.
