While Thunder Airlines has Beech King Airs and one Cessna Caravan for their scheduled and charter work with northern Ontario communities, they use their MU-2s mainly for medivac flights. This one has been in their fleet since November 2003.

Delivered to Ontario Express December 10, 1987 to operate as a Canadian Partner. Disposed of in June 1994, the aircraft went on to fly in Scandinavia before returning to the UK. Last flying as G-LNKS, it was withdrawn from use by Links Air in November 2015. Seen registered as 2-LCXO and painted for Firnas Airways circa 2017, last info I have is it never operated and remains stored at Oxford, UK.

In March 1988, Ontario Express Airlines bought the parent company of Frontier Air Service. Major expansion followed when five Beech 1900 aircraft were added to the fleet in 1989 / 90 with Canadian Partner branding following shortly after. Frontier was absorbed by Ontario Express in 1992 and the 1900s returned to Beech in 1993. Registered N80532 and N575P, this aircraft was bought by Alpine Express in 2014 to fly freight. Registered N422AX in 2015, the freighter is current at the time of uploading.

Originally N759FX with FedEx Feeder from 1996, this Caravan was leased to Morningstar Express in May 2001. Pictured in Thunder Bay, it's awaiting return to Winnipeg on it's usual daily route. On October 6, 2005, the aircraft departed on the early morning flight from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay when it encountered icing conditions. Requesting return to the airport, the pilot lost control nearing the turn to final and crashed on railway tracks next to the Red River.

Built in 1972, imported in 1988 and when later operated by Thunder Airlines, it was wrecked on 14 June 1999 taking off from Thunder Bay, due to improper installation of the stabilizer pitch trim actuators.

Delivered new to Perimeter Airlines in 1978, their first Metroliner, and here on lease to Awood Air from 1991 to 1997. After return to Perimeter it became their dedicated air ambulance until it struck terrain and broke into three during a missed approach at Shamattawa/MB (CZTM) on 11 October 2001.

Imported new in 1980 and here just returned after spending time in Australia as VH-HRD. On 30 June 2008 it was wrecked when it crashed into water from 40 feet up at a position 50 nm SE from Mary River/NU.

Built in 1972 and later became N59MB. On 1 February 2005 it was wrecked at Lancaster/PA when it rolled over while transitioning into the hover at lift-off.

Operated by Morningstar Air Express on behalf of FedEx. The second Caravan to carry this registration and current in 2022.

Bearskin Lake Air Services was founded in 1963 to provide charter services to First Nations reserves in northern Ontario. In the late 1970s the operation moved from bush planes to small commuter airliners to service growing scheduled services operating as Bearskin Airlines. This 1974 Aztec was registered to Thunder Bay Flying School before coming to Bearskin 1997 - 2001. The airline became a regional carrier when it sold the First Nations routes to Wasaya Airways in 2003. Current since 2007 with Quebec based construction company Air Vision / Les Ateliers Fermontois at the time of uploading.

This Musketeer primary trainer was delivered Jun 24, 1981 as part of twenty-four aircraft follow on order of newer Beechcraft C23 Sundowners that were designated CT-134A Musketeer IIs. 134226 was stored at CFB Winnipeg in March 1994, pending disposal. It was donated to Canadore College in North Bay, ON by 2009 as a training aid.

Delivered new to Austin Airways in 1976 and cancelled on export as TF-JMD in 1988. Current as TF-NLD in 2022.

Bearskin Airlines had this Beech 99 in their fleet from December 1988 to October 2007. After Canada, the aircraft moved to a warmer climate and flew with various airlines in the Caribbean. Recently with Flamingo Air as C6-OFM, it suffered a left main landing gear collapse and departed the runway at Black Point Airstrip Exuma in the Bahamas on October 18, 2022. The aircraft was substantially damaged, but thankfully no injuries to the eleven people on board.
