Aircraft of HMS Leander on Christmas Island, which lies south of Java and was then administered from Singapore. Reportedly there was an airstrip near the South Point phosphate quarry but seaplanes would beach at Flying Fish Cove. Part of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, Leander and her aircraft were surveying a flying boat route for Imperial Airways. L2222 became NZ151.
