The second prototype of the GAF Nomad first flew in April 1972 as VH-SUR, it was leased to the Australian Army in 1973 as A18-002 but soon after written off in a landing accident. The Aircraft was repaired and returned to the Army which in turn used the aircraft as an instructional airframe with the fake serial A18-300. Nowadays the Nomad is preserved with the Museum of Australian Army Flying. This photo is copyright © Beau, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
