28th May 1945: TOS USAAF as A-26C 44-35696. 7/48: Re-designated B-26C. Ca.4/52 to ca.8/52: Douglas Aircraft converted to B-26B. 10/52 to 3/54: flew over 100 combat missions in Korea. 4/54: Loaned to French Air Force in Indochina for combat. 7/54: Returned to the USAF. Served in Japan and USA. 9/57: SOC. By 1963: Registered N8036E. 30th September 1985: Collings Foundation restored the plane to Korean War scheme. June 27th 1993: Crashed on takeoff at Kankakee, IL, the plane was substantially damaged. Later stored at Aviation Museum of Texas.
