Photographer: Dave Lawrence. In the markings of the South African Airways Training School at Jan Smuts/Johannesburg International Airport where it was used by apprentices from 1959 until moving to Swartkop in November 1988. This Ventura was initially allocated Bu No. 49474 and RAF serial JT867 before transferred to the SAAF. It was later converted to a transport version. It is now on display at the SAAF Museum at Swartkop with its SAAF serial 6498. This photo was added on 31 August 2021, and has since been viewed 2650 times. |
