This MBB Bo 105 was delivered to the Canadian Coast Guard in October 1985 after completion at the new MBB Helicopter Canada Ltd. factory in Fort Erie, Ontario. It's seen here about to land on the Coast Guard heliport at Kitsilano Beach in downtown Vancouver. In 1985-1986, the Bo 105 replaced the Coast Guard's three long-serving single-engine Alouette III helicopters in British Columbia. The Coast Guard retired this aircraft in June 2018 when it took delivery of a new fleet of Bell 429s. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I.
