23 Jul 1987: First flight. 24 Aug 1987: TOS USMC and assigned to Marine Attack Squadron 223 (VMA-223), MCAS Cherry Point, NC. By 5/88: VMA-542, MCAS Cherry Point. By 12/90: VMA-231, which deployed to Al Jubail Air Base, Saudi Arabia for combat in Operation Desert Storm. By 7/94: VMA-223. By 3/02: Stored dismantled at Cherry Point. 6 Feb 2003 SOC.
