25 Mar '94: First flight. 23 May '94: TOS USMC and assigned to Marine Attack Squadron 231 (VMA-231), MCAS Cherry Point, NC. By 4/97: VMA-542, MCAS Cherry Point. By 2/03: VMA-231 and deployed aboard USS Nassau for combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom I until 5/03. 3/07 to 9/07: VMA-231 deployed Al Asad for combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom V. 9/07: While still deployed the plane was taken over by VMA-542 again and remained deployed until April 2008s for Operation Iraqi Freedom VI.
