slide scan from the NK collection. - Eastern Airlines ordered this DC-8-61 as new aircraft, but used it for four years only before they gave it to Japan Airlines. From 1976 until 1982, Capitol Airways was the operator, retaining its old Eastern Airlines registration. The aircraft was broken up at Greensboro NC after it had been withdrawn by Airborne Express as N852AX. This photo was added on 28 December 2021, and has since been viewed 656 times. |
