Built as Lockheed PV-1 GR Mk5 Ventura Bu 34951 and allocated RAF serial FP668 before delivery to the South African Air Force in 1945 as 6506. Sold to Howard Aero of San Antonio Texas in 1959 and converted, initially to a Super Ventura as N74882 and in 1962 to a Howard 500. Registered N239R, N11CP and N11QP before export to Bolivia in March 1985. Withdrawn from use at El Trompillo by 1992 and remained stored there until scrapped in 2006.
