K25 slide scan. Built 1944 as R5D-3 56528 for USN. Redesignated C-54Q 1962. Retired at Lichtfield Park 1964, MASDC 1966, auctioned 1975. Registered N67035. Biegert Aviation N44915 1977. Initially Falcon Field, Chandler Memorial from 1980. Remained unused in ex USN colours. First wheeled aircraft to land at McMurdo, Antarctica 20 December 1955. Efforts to preserve this historically important aircraft failed and it was scrapped in 2006, the nose section surviving in private ownership.
