During a squadron rotation with the RAF 56sq, four Aeronautical Militare F-104S of Grosseto air base were present. Not the very best picture, as it was typical UK weather. This MM6722, built by Fiat Aviazione/Aeritalia was delivered to to Italian Air Force in 1978 and was retired in 2002. It was noted at the dump of Grazzanise in the fall of 2004. The fuselage of the aircraft was attached to the tail of MM6936 and the Starfighter was the preserved as MM6939 at Lecce air base (Italy).
