Built for USAAF as P-51D 44-74423. Transferred to RCAF and used by them November 1950 through July 1958. Raced as #64, first owned by California Airmotive Corp with reg, N182X with Clay Lacy as pilot. In 1970 Clay Lacy was owner, with reg. N64CL. This a/c won the 1970 Reno National Championship Unlimited Class Air Race with an average speed of 387.34 miles per hour with Lacy piloting.
