While earlier CH-136 Kiowas (OH-58A) were delivered to the CAF in 1971 - 72, fourteen newer, upgraded Bell 206 Jet Rangers were purchased for training in 1981. This one was delivered in May 1981. Pictured as one of 8 Jet Rangers used in Honduras in 1990 - 92 for Operation Sultan, Canadian Forces support for the UN mission disarming former rebels in that country. It was transferred in April 1998 to Allied Wings for contract pilot training as C-FTHN. The helicopter was written off July 2, 2002 during auto rotation training at Southport, Manitoba.
