The aircraft arrived in New Zealand in 1934 from the de Havilland factory and registered as ZK-ADI it was the first aircraft in NZ to be registered to carry passengers commercially. It serviced for the RNZAF from 1943 to 1948, afterward being owned by NAC (National Airways Corp). It has held several registrations numbers ZK-ADI, NZ566, ZK-ASP, N83DH, G-ADHA and back to ZK-ADI. From 1974 to 1984 the aircraft was based in the USA before heading to England. The aircraft was returned to NZ and restored to its original livery in 1997. Photographer unknown.
