Delivered to Singapore Airlines on November 26, 2002, Boeing bought this 777 (N817BC) after it's last revenue flight with Singapore on March 1, 2018. Later registered N943BC between leases to Air New Zealand (ZK-OKI May 2018 - March 2019) and Surinam Airways (PZ-TCU November 2019 - January 2022). Refurbished and the passenger interior stripped for test equipment, the aircraft was painted for Boeing's ten year old ecoDemonstrator program.
