Taxiing over to the West Pads as BOE212 this afternoon is Boeing's latest "ecoDemonstrator" aircraft. Allegedly here for some autonomous taxi tests. They did a few laps around the pads before heading back to Paine Field in the late afternoon.

Delivered to Singapore Airlines on November 26, 2002, Boeing bought this 777 (N817BC) after it's last revenue flight with Singapore on March 1, 2018. Later registered N943BC between leases to Air New Zealand (ZK-OKI May 2018 - March 2019) and Surinam Airways (PZ-TCU November 2019 - January 2022). Refurbished and the passenger interior stripped for test equipment, the aircraft was painted for Boeing's ten year old ecoDemonstrator program. It will test some 30 new technologies with partners to improve airline efficiency.

Delivered new to Singapore Airlines as 9V-SVL 26th Nov 2002 and registered to Boeing Capital as N817BC 29th March 2018 for onward lease to Air New Zealand as ZK-OKI 15th May 2018, returning as N943BC 24th May 2019. Registered to Surinam Airways as PZ-TCU 20th Dec 2019 but never entered regular service and it was flown to KVCV (Victorville) 3rd March 2021. Registered N861BC 3rd Jan 2022 to Boeing Aircraft Holding but the new registration was not painted on immediately as can be seen from the date of this picture.

Delivered new to the airline in November 2002. Returned to lessor March 2018. In June 2018 leased to Air New Zealand, for one year only (ZK-OKI). In December 2019 delivered to Surinam Airways (PZ-TCU), but due COVID crisis wfu in February 2021. Ferried to Victorville for further storage in March 2021.

9V-SVL flew for Singapore from 2002 until 2016. In 2019 this became the "famous" Surinam Airways B777.
