This Hind was built in 1937 and was one of nineteen donated to the Royal Afghan Air Force in 1939 and after being wfu it was used as an instructional airframe into the 1950s. Fortunately the airframe was rescued from a Kabul junkyard by the Afghan Govt. in 1974 and donated as a sign of friendship to Canada. She has been subsequently beautifully restored and is now held in the Reserve Collection of the Canada Aviation Museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
