Slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. Calair acquired five Boeing 720s from Eastern Airlines in 1970, but the airline went into liquidation early in 1972. Together with two sister ships, D-ACIP found a new home in Rhodesia (later Zimbabwe), and after 1988, the airliner even saw further service with Zairean Air Charter Service as 9Q-CTD, before being withdrawn at Kinshasa.
