The fuselage of G-AEMH, along with that of G-AKRN (msn 6513) dumped outside the Channel Airways hangar 2 at Southend, where they had been since 1965, awaiting transport to a farm near Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex. Channel Airways had ceased trading in February 1972 and all old airframes were being disposed of/broken up at this time. Both of these fuselages later made their way to Chirk, Wales where it is believed they were consumed in the restoration of other DH89As there including G-AIUL.
