Delivered to Aeromexico on November 15, 1974 XA-DUO is pictured finished loading and preparing to depart. Tragically it later crashed on November 8, 1981. Thirty-five minutes after take-off from Alcapulco enroute to Guadalajara, the DC-9 suffered a cabin depressurization. The captain requested an emergency descent and return to Acapulco. The airliner struck high terrain at 6,000 ft in the Sierra de Guerro mountains. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
