K25 slide scan. Delivered 1981. British Airways G-BOHZ 1988, stored 1992. Goa Way 1994, Executive Aerospace ZS-NNW 1998. Withdrawn Durban by 2001, subsequently scrapped. The then chairman of DLT had felt that a new image was needed so the new 748's arrived in a striking all red scheme. Business passengers however disagreed and the "red parrot bird" gave way to a sombre Lufthansa style livery after a very short time with only the first three aircraft being delivered in red. All were repainted within a year. This photo is copyright © Michael Roeser, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
